About

Oh, hello there, lovelies. Yes, that's me on the side there. This picture was taken at my birthday dinner in 2013 (yay birthdays!!). I just wanted to welcome you to my blog and give you a little bit of insight about myself.

My name is Sarah and I'm a makeup junkie...
(Hi, Sarah). I'm just starting with this blog so bear with me as I work out some kinks and things. My aim is to provide the online world with aspects of my life that involve fashion, beauty and really anything else I think up of. I've named it tea + luxe since I love tea and this is a beauty/fashion blog (suh creative).

You may be wondering what sparked me to start this blog. Quite honestly, I would say it's my obsession with the endless aisles of brightly-lit, well stocked shelves of cosmetics. I walk into a drugstore, or a department store and I automatically steer towards that section of the store. It's quite a phenomenon since I don't wear makeup on a regular basis, but something about walking out with a new mascara, or lip gloss just feels so... right? You might be thinking that I'm crazy - or you might be reading this, nodding along and thinking yup, that's me, alright. Regardless of whether you share my obsession or you're the type to own a few staple items, I'm sure you'll enjoy reading this blog.

Over the past year or so, my quest for finding good quality cosmetic products was met with an introduction to natural and organic ingredients. Though I strive to keep my purchases paraben-free and other harmful chemicals-free, I still dabble in the everyday drugstore makeup that isn't all that natural or good for you. Through this blog, you'll see both types of items as I embark on the quest to find my holy grail, can't-live-without products.

Onto the fashion part of my blog, I wear a headscarf, (as you can see in my picture), so my fashion blogs will be related to how I put together an outfit with my hijab. I might do some tutorials and things like that if you want to see them.

I also like to pretend I'm a photographer when I'm not swamped with school work so some of those pictures will creep into this blog (definitely pictures of the products I buy/review as well). I shoot with a Nikon D5100 and I recently upgraded my collection past the basic 18-55mm lens, to include a 50mm f/1.8, nifty fifty lens. I'm still learning so if you have any tips or tricks, or if you'd like to talk photography, definitely don't be shy!

Anyway, that's enough for now, I look forward to building an online community and don't be shy to say hi!
Cheers,
Sarah
