Thank you boxx cosmetics & Topbox! | Giveaway Prize Swatches & 1st Impressions

I recently won a Boxx giveaway hosted by Topbox! Here are some pictures of the prize, and a very preliminary first impressions based on the swatches.

The prize consisted of the Boxx Cosmetics Multi-Use Eye/Brow Kit. It comes with the Milli Boxx, and 4 eye and brow products. This kit actually retails for $49 which is a pretty awesome prize!

MILLI BOXX (Retails for $10)
This small compact is an interchangeable compact. The milli boxx has a magnetic base that allows you to change the product inside to whatever you like. It is made of a durable plastic and also contains a mirror on the upper lid. It can be used for many purposes such as storing just a pressed powder or any of the other products that boxx offers that fit into this configuration. Each compact comes with a metal pic (one size) to remove the makeup pans from the compact. This tiny little customizable compact is great for the evening bag and lets you bring whatever you like!

I really like this compact, it's nice and sturdy and is a really nice size. I actually have another boxx blush that I bought off TSC in the shade dulcina but I haven't used it yet as I need to put it in a z-palette or a compact like this. You can see the little metal thing with the boxx embossing is the pic they talk about so that it's easy to remove the pans from this compact without worrying about ruining the product... very thoughful! I used it to remove one of the pans to test it out and it was very easy!

Inside, it comes with one cream corrector, one brow powder, and two eyeshadows. There are instructions on the box with how to use this kit.

How To Use The Multi-Use Eye/Brow Kit:
  1. Place Cream Corrector all over the eyebrow and eyelid to prime the area and create an even base for your makeup to adhere to the skin.
  2. Use Ilona eye shadow on the inner corner of the eye and half of the eyelid.
  3. Use Valterra eyeshadow along the lash line, under the eye and into the crease if desired.
  4. Use Bedros eyeshadow to fill in the brows.
* All eye shadows can be used wet or dry to create a softer or more intense effect

Evelina Corrector, Valterra Eyeshadow, Bedros Brow Powder, Ilona Eyeshadow
EVELINA CREAM CORRECTOR (Retails for $24)
Name Origin: French for Hazelnut
Color Description: Medium with Pink Undertone
Versatile and easy to use, this cream corrector blends seamlessly into the skin, effectively camouflaging dark circles, broken capillaries, sun damage, blemishes, redness and any other skin imperfection. Evelia is best suited for light/medium skin tones.

This reminds me of the Bobbi Brown Corrector I use and it's in quite a similar shade so I'm excited to see how it compares.

VALTERRA WET/DRY EYESHADOW (Retails for $18)
Origin:
Native American for Strong Earth
Color Description: Matte Chocolate Brown
boxx cosmetics eyeshadows are versatile and multi-functional. The wet/dry formula can be used to define, line, contour, and highlight the eyes.

I've only swatched this eyeshadow but at first I thought this would be the brow powder but that's probably bias of me since I have dark eyebrows and assumed this one would work better as such. I'm unsure if these have a different formula from the eyebrow powders but I'm sure I could use it on my eyebrows. This powder was actually quite hard when I tried to swatch it and I needed a couple layers to build it up. You can see in the swatch that it's not a dark opaque swatch... still sheer. I may have to try it out wet before passing judgement upon it lol.

BEDROS EYEBROW EYESHADOW (Retails for $18)
Name Origin: Greek for Stone
Color Description: Fawny Grey-Brown
Fill in and perfect your brows with these fool-proof brow colors. The olive undertones of these natural fawny shades help to cancel out redness.

This is the eyebrow shade and I can see how it would be the perfect tone for someone with lighter eyebrows as it's very cool and won't pull red. This one was even harder to swatch than Valterra, but I can actually see myself using this as a contour shade... maybe on my nose as I have yet to find something that doesn't look like two streaks down my nose. The fact that this isn't very pigmented and is a harder powder could actually work in my favour for a nose contour... hmmhmm, a lot of speculation going on LOL!

ILONA WET/DRY EYESHADOW (Retails for $18)
Name Origin: Hungarian for Beautiful Sunshine
Color Description: Golden Beige Highlight
boxx cosmetics eyeshadows are versatile and multi-functional. The wet/dry formula can be used to define, line, contour, and highlight the eyes.

Finally, this is the fourth item in the box and is quite easily a gorgeous highlight shade for your browbone, but also for your face. This shade was very easy to swatch unlike the other two powders and gave a nice smooth swatch. In the picture it looks pretty white, but it's actually a nice chanpagne gold highlight and the shimmer in it is yellow in tone. Very excited to have this in here as it's truly a beautiful shade. The name origin for it as a beautiful sunshine is very suitable.

Overall this is an awesome prize to get from Topbox & boxx cosmetics. I love that they included a full kit that has the compact and the products in there. Though this kit retails for $49 on the boxx cosmetics website, this kit actually has a value of $88! Also, I'm happy to report that all these products are actually made in Canada, with boxx cosmetics being a Canadian brand, how awesome is that?!

Thank you so much to Topbox for hosting this giveaway on your Facebook page, and for boxx cosmetics for the awesome prize! I know I'll be getting a lot of use out of everything here.

Have you tried any boxx cosmetics products? What are some of your faves?
