A black liner is usually a "safe" beauty box item because almost everyone can use it, but I don't really need it. I do like that it's labelled as matte but to be honest, I'm working through an UD liner from a previous ipsy and I don't really need more black eyeliner.

Oh man.. this lipstick is just... hideous. I was extremely upset to find this lipstick in my box because never would I ever put bronze frosty orangey/brown lipstick on my lips.. ever! When I saw the shade name before opening it, I was excited because "Big Flirt" really seems like it would be a hot pick, or a daring red but to open the tube and see this lip colour I was just extremely disappointed. I tried to look this up online and it wasn't even on the Emani website which made me think that this has probably been discontinued.

This seems like an interesting product and I really like Vichy products, so yay!!

I got this item before in a Shoppers bonus sample offer, I think. I didn't try that one so many I'll try this one? I don't know but I'm starting to develop some legit forehead lines and that's just a no-no with me just being 22 years old!

This box is a step up from previous Topboxes, first of all, due to the fact that they included a bunch of full-size items which is quite rare, as Topbox is notorious for their sample sizes that you can generally get for free as a GWP from Shoppers Drug Mart. Seeing some full-size items in Topbox makes me happy, but there was just one thing that annoyed me about this box, and thankfully it was rectified.
Over the past months with Topbox, I've has numerous conversations with Christine, the customer service representative for Topbox who is just INCREDIBLE and is truly as asset to the team at Topbox. I emailed her, explaining that I was really disappointed in the lipstick shade and that it's clearly a discontinued shade and I don't appreciate it when beauty subscription boxes include things like that in their boxes because it just seems like leftovers being sent out to us. I also told her that I don't complain much about beauty box items (to the company... maybe I complain on my blog sometimes haha!), but this just really irritated me because I didn't receive a shade that just didn't suit my personal style (when people don't like neutrals or reds etc.) but this shade is just completely awful, and would only appeal to a very niche set of people. Christine was incredibly helpful and understood where I was coming from and offered to replace it with another lipstick (below). In my email I also quickly expressed that my add-on (the teeez eyeliner below) was a bit redundant since I already got an eyeliner in my regular box, and she offered to send me a replacement for that as well (philosophy amazing grace body emulsion). To be honest, I didn't expect for her to offer to replace both products for me but Christine truly understood where I was coming from and was extremely generous in offering to replace both products.
It's things like this that month after month keep me with this subscription because I'll admit that I've received quite a few disappointing products from Topbox, especially in the last few months but I can safely say that Christine is the #1 reason I stay with Topbox. She's always incredibly friendly and extremely understanding. She makes Topbox much more than just a few products in a box, Christine is there even if you just want to send her a quick email giving feedback on a product, or just telling her you really enjoyed a certain box.
